Description

Ver-Mac Work Zone Digital Speed Trailer – SP-710-DSL

Ver-Mac’s SP-710-DSL is designed to notify motorists of reduced speeds in work zones when workers are present. The SP-710-DSL features our innovative V-Touch Controller, a two-digit 18-inch white LED display, two 12-inch flashing beacons, and our JamLogic® software.

Outside of construction hours, the 2-digit white LED will display the posted speed limit when workers are not present. During construction hours, the 2-digit white LED will display the work zone speed limit and activate the (2) 12-inch beacons when construction and workers are present.

The WZDSL can now push real-time speeds and locations via the WZDx, WAZE or a custom data feed. The WZDSL is also a component of Ver-Mac’s Connected Work Zone Notification System.

WORK ZONE DSL KEY BENEFITS

  • By lowering speeds only where and when workers are present, projects have shown very high compliance speeds and very little differential in speeds
  • White LEDs display get lower speeds because they are much more visible than static signs
  • Displaying real-time work zone speed limits using a two-digit display and flashing beacons has shown to reduce speeds by 5-7 mph more than static signs
  • Safer speeds in work zones when workers are present
  • Smooter traffic flow and less delay
  • Improved roadway safety & operations
  • Contractors can create a predefined schedule or manually change/manage speeds with their smartphones or using JamLogic® Web. (modem option required)
  • Add sensor to supplement Queue Warning or Dynamic Merge Smart Work Zones

V-Touch controller

All our speed signs come with our touch screen v-touch controller, the industry’s most functionnal and easy-to-use controller

  • 7-inch (178 mm) color LCD touchscreen display
  • Intuitive icons to quickly select speed parameters and beacon flashing mode option
  • Backlit screen for nighttime use.
  • Real-time battery voltage level and speed display
  • Optional warning device can be integrated (flashing beacons, strobe lights, red and blue flashing bar and audible alarm)

HIGH-QUALITY CONSTRUCTION

  • POWDER COATING SUPERIOR FINISH – Impact, humidity, salt spray and rust resistant
  • 4 LEVELING JACKS – For stabilization and easy deployment and transportation
  • MANUAL LIFT MECHANISM – For quick deployment
  • HEAVY-DUTY PLASTIC FENDERS – For durability and easy replacement
  • PLASTIC BATTERY BOX – To minimize battery corrosion
  • LOCKABLE BATTERY & CONTROL BOX – For security

Reflective Sheeting Types

DG Highest Visibility (Fluorescent)

The highest level of reflectivity. Up to 10X brighter than Engineer-Grade Prismatic. Offers great visibility and reflectivity from distances and wide angles, both day at night.

Meets or Exceeds ASTM D 4956, Type IX or Type XI

Related Terms:

HIP High-Intensity Prismatic

3X brighter than Engineer-Grade Prismatic. Effective for daytime, nighttime and artificial light conditions. Provides durability and long-term reflectivity.

Meets ASTM D 4956, Type III, Type IV.

Related Terms:

ENG Engineer Grade

Economical prismatic sheeting provides better day and nighttime brightness and is recommended for commercial sign applications as well as non-critical traffic control signs, regulated by the MUTCD.

Meets ASTM D 4956 Type I

Substrate Material Types

Aluminum Blanks

Aluminum sheeting meets or exceeds ASTM 5052-H38 specifications and is .081" thick. Traffic signs use this specification to meet Transportation Standards, unless otherwise stated for non-critical traffic signage or commercial applications. All aluminum blanks come with pre-drilled holes for mounting, and rounded corners.

Meets or Exceeds ASTM 5052-H38, 0.081" Thickness

Crezone (HDO) Wood

Crezone HDO (High Density Overlaid) board is extremely durable exterior type plywood with a weather-resistant resin overlay bonded to the wood by heat and pressure. This process fuses the molecules of the overlay with the fibres of the wood to form a bond as strong as the wood itself. In many instances, overlaid HDO plywood has proven a more durable sign material than metal. HDO plywood is resistant to the elements with no danger of rust or corrosion. It is typically used for larger signs, or uncommon sizes made-to-order.

Meets Transportation Material Standards
